The local gas station and diner Ben's Food & Gas is slated to close down February 3rd, following an investigation into health and safety violations. After multiple patrons complained that there was something wrong with the fuel, inspectors discovered that reptiles had managed to get into the supplies of unleaded and diesel fuels. Premium fuel was not affected.
We contacted the owner and manager of Ben's Food & Gas, Charles Benjamin, and asked him for his thoughts. Now, I don't know where them lizards came from. Not at all. We tried to stop 'em before, but they done showed up again. I said I ain't gonna bother fixin' it again, so now my shop's getting shut down.
He provided no further comment.
